The mission of the Live Local Palouse Initiative was to collaborate with small businesses and micro-enterprises throughout Whitman, Garfield and Asotin Counties to explore the needs for additional small business resource infrastructure – toward the aims of building a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable local economy across the Palouse region.

With funding provided by the Washington State Department of Commerce and the Innovia Foundation, Live Local Palouse spent a full year working in the region with local businesses and community leaders – finally developing a report and series of recommendations for Commerce.

SIMBA want to give a specific shoutout to Live Local Palouse partners who helped to make the initiative a success, including the Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship, Colfax Chamber of Commerce, City of Pullman, and Southeast Washington Economic Development Association (SEWEDA)
