Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) filings are a new federal government requirement for ALL BUSINESSES that are structured as an LLC, a corporation, a formal partnership, and a few other entity structures. Sole proprietorships and d/b/as DO NOT have to complete a filing.
Filings for all LLCs, Corporations, formal partnerships, and related businesses formed before January 1, 2024, must be completed by January 1, 2025. If you established your business this year, you have 90 days to file.
