Photos will be used in various marketing campaigns as well as to increase SIMBA’s library of stock photos of local businesses and patrons. Contractor should be prepared to collect photo releases as appropriate.

The contractor will work with SIMBA’s current partner coalitions, the Business Equity Coalition of the Inland Northwest (BECiN) and the Live Local INW Coalition, to create and implement a Grant Program, whereby SIMBA will be re-granting money awarded as part of an SBIF grant through the WA Dept of Commerce. The grant money must be distributed by May 31, 2023, though the awardees do not have to spend the money by that date. The selected contractor will possess the skills to quickly engage with businesses and coalition members to build trust and create a strategy for successful short and lasting long-term engagement.

Under the direction of the Field Outreach Director and SIMBA Live Local Project Executive Team, the Field Manager will participate in finalizing the Small Business Outreach Plan, will lead on rapidly recruiting and hiring a field canvassing team, and will train, manage, support and oversee the activities of these personnel’s collective work performance in order to meet SIMBA’s goals for engaging with under-represented and locally-owned businesses owners throughout the region. The selected contractor will possess the skills required to facilitate communication between field Directors and canvassers, set-up, support and supervise day-to-day activities of the field team – including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, training,  door-to-door outreach, phone banking, data collection, hot leads identification, education messaging, and data reporting – and to be familiar with programmatic subject matter  to be able to serve as an in-field resource for  the Live Local INW campaign.

The contractor will plan, direct and manage outreach and engagement services aimed at locally-owned businesses from underrepresented backgrounds throughout priority geographies in Eastern and Central Washington. The selected contractor will possess the skills and experience required to develop and implement a detailed and iterative outreach plan that includes door-to-door canvassing, performance and demographic data collection and reporting protocols, phone bank coordination and resource management. The goal being to expand our Live Local INW Community Marketplace to include to new businesses – particularly those in low-income, underserved, and rural communities. This contractor will design, build and manage the entire project Outreach team of Field Managers and Canvassers, which could range in size from 6 to 20 individuals, depending on how the selected contractor approaches the work.

The contractor will work within SIMBA’s existing HubSpot and other software program environments to help the organization take full advantage of the newly purchased Pro features and complete centralizing all CRM related data within the HubSpot platform. They will be responsible for supporting and training our Technical Communications Manager as well as other project resources who will be utilizing HubSpot, and will be available to the Systems Director, Tech Coordinator and Campaign Director to help implement data clean up and ongoing integrity efforts and reporting requirements. The selected contractor will have proven experience in managing, creating & supporting agile CRM development initiatives.

Business Grants Coordinator – Remote/Spokane, WA

The contractor will work with SIMBA staff, team members and coalition partner organizations to facilitate a Live Local Marketing Grant Program, whereby SIMBA will be re-granting money awarded as part of an SBIF grant through the WA Dept. of Commerce through approximately 30-50 small marketing grants through the Live Local INW campaign. The re-grant program should be designed to encourage businesses to utilize the Live Local brand and campaign messaging and strategy resources to drive awareness of the benefits of shopping at locally-owned businesses, and incentivize the behavior of shifting spending to locally-owned  businesses, especially those owned by underrepresented entrepreneurs. The grant money must be distributed by May 31, 2023, though the awardees do not have to spend the money by that date. This contractor will oversee the other aspects of the regranting happening within the Live Local INW Community Marketplace project, which include another contractor who is responsible for implementing two defined scopes to deliver Partner Grants to members of the BECiN and Live Local Coalitions, and distributing an Event Sponsorship budget. The selected contractor will possess the skills to quickly engage with appropriate businesses and partners to design and implement the re-granting program.
